Gun Control Solutions

I was chatting with my friend Vinny about gun control the other day. As you do. For most of our lifetimes, gun violence has been an intractable problem with all sides coming nowhere near to a solution. So of course, Vinny and I have some solutions.

Here’s what we figured: we can’t focus on reducing violence. Americans love violence. That’s not going to change. We need a different angle. There is a precedent for this: when DUI classes focused less on reducing drinking (which people love) and more on reducing impaired driving (which everyone agrees is a bad idea), they got statistically a lot more effective. So instead of spending any energy on a pointless anti-violence strategy, Vinny and I figured it would be smarter to focus on the means of violence. Hence, step one - a targeted publicity campaign:
