A Boogie Writes 90-Day Check-In

Hi folks!  I am taking a break from the usual revelry to get some feedback. I have been doing this little Substack experiment for about three months now and I want to hear how you - my beloved audience - thinks I am doing so far. It’s time for my performance review!

I started this project as a place for all my writing that doesn’t fit into other areas of my life. I have been thrilled and surprised with how many of you are reading and enjoying it. So I want to get a little direction about what you like best. It’s poll time!

I try to mix it up between serious and nonsense, fiction and non-fiction. If you could, let me know what type of pieces have been your favorites. As far as real stuff, have you liked:

• Personal essays like Why I Quit Watching Sports and Brendan Wrestles with Irishness

• Real interviews like Anonymous Interviews

• Travelogs like Travels with Brendo

• Advice columns like Dear Boogie

As for the fictional nonsense, have you cared more for:

• Fake interviews like Interviews with Historical Figures

• Serial fiction like The Five Million Dollar Man

• Visual storytelling like Bumper Sticker Conversations

• Freeform nonsense like Inside You There Are Two Walruses and Kim the Disappointed Dental Hygienist

Also, am I writing too much? Too little? Just right? I try to deliver value to my reader - particularly those who are shelling out their hard-earned cash on this drivel - but I don’t want to overwhelm folks with content. Boogie Writes should be a delicious morsel popped into your gullet, not a tedious chore popped up your pooper.

Ideally, how often would you like my silliness delivered to your inbox?

I have decided not to have a comments section because they are generally cesspools of rage and idiocy, but would you prefer a comment section to interact with me and other Boogie Writes readers?

And of course, the most important question of all: which replacement Duke boy from The Dukes of Hazzard was your favorite?
